CLASP will be hosting the next Datathon on Sunday July 16th from 1pm to 5pm EST.
WHAT IS A DATATHON?
CLASP has been hosting remote online group volunteer sessions, referred to as “Datathons,” on behalf of prisoners’ rights. Each Dataton consists of an agenda of projects, talking points, and assignments for civic tech and legal advocacy.
WHAT ARE THE PROJECTS?
Interested in participating? Everyone is welcome, but first you have to apply to become a CLASP volunteer. After a brief one-on-one phone interview, you’ll be asked to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement before joining the rest of the CLASP collaborators.
If you’re an activist, programmer, artist, teacher, student, retiree, data enthusiast, or just a person interested in dismantling mass incarceration, please apply.
WHAT IS CLASP?
We are the Community Legal & Advocacy Services Project (“CLASP”) and we believe in harnessing the power of internet activism and tech to gather public support for law and policy changes related to prisoners’ rights.
We are 100% volunteer-based and currently accepting applications for volunteers.
HOW CAN I SUPPORT YOU?
If you can’t join our Datathon sessions or volunteer as a CLASP contributor, consider donating to our cause!
